And another bites the dust

I’m a gamer.. and I love playing video games, but this must be at least the third report I have read in the past year of a man who died playing video games for 3+ days straight. I mean, come on people! Is it really that hard to take a break from the game, get something to eat, and maybe, I don’t know… SLEEP!?…

They didn’t mention what the man was playing, but my bet is that he was playing World of Warcraft or Starcraft.. both from Blizzard Entertainment. I’ve played both games.. World of Warcraft, WoW some people call it, more extensively and they are addicting games. However, you should know that your body is telling you that you need rest and to do something about it. I guess it all boils down to the principles of pain and pleasure. These people addicted to video games that die for playing 3 days straight would rather enjoy gaming than giving their body a rest.

Video games are a big industry where these deaths have taken place in Asia. In Korea, video gaming to them is like baseball to the United States. They even have trading cards made of famous video players like we have baseball stars. Yup, their players are even sponsored by big corporations there, just like our star athletes. It’s crazy. We live in a technology world and some people live and die, literally, on the Internet.
