It’s that time of year again where all the kids are back in school and what better way to welcome in the school year than with… pen spinning! When I was in high school my cousin taught me one of the techniques in the video and all my friends couldn’t figure out how I was doing it. That was just one move… Just take a look at the video above and look what people are doing with pens now! It’s pretty amazing, almost hypnotic and magical how they spin those pens around. Some people make videos after one year of practicing. Just search Youtube for pen spinning and you can find a bunch of them. There’s even one video that’s a great starting tutorial on how to do 5 ways to spin a pen. I actually am trying out these new ways to spin the pen and my 2 year old son watched me and even attempted to spin it himself. My wife and I thought it was so funny him trying to do it and he actually did get it to spin once using his index and middle finger! haha.. maybe when he reaches 1st grade he’ll master the spinning like the guys in the video. Just like how to get to Carnegie Hall all you need is practice, practice, practice! |

I’ve tried to do the simple spin back and forth between index finger and middle finger since high school but even that I couldn’t do. I felt so retarded since I’ve been trying to do it for so long. When I see you next week, show me some techniques so I can say I accomplished something in life. =P
