Today is the 1st of November and also National Sushi Day! I am a big sushi fan. Believe it or not, I always didn’t like sushi… ewww, raw fish!? haha.. but now, I try to have it whenever I can. It’s my favorite food… I met up with an ex-coworker of mine for lunch to celebrate this Sushi Day, and of course to see what he’s been up to. I haven’t seen him in a little over 3 years! We ordered the “Sushi for 2″ platter… darn it, I didn’t have my camera to take a picture of it, but it was a huge plate full. I couldn’t believe we ate it all. Anyway, why is this day Sushi Day? Well you can find a little history of it over at the National Sushi Society. So I hope some of you celebrated this day with a plate of delicious sushi and I’ll leave you with the funny and definitely not a serious look on the Japanese tradition of Sushi. |

“I try to have it whenever I can…” As Ron’s cube neighbor, I can attest to the fact that’ “whenever I can” is four times a week on average. (Boston Market makes up the rest.) Recently we had to move our belongings to another area on the floor - Ron personally carried his sushi menu so that nothing would happen to it.

I went to a bar recently and ordered a beer. I asked for it to be poured into a glass. As the barmaid poured, I said “ma ma ma” and she responded with “pa pa pa”. Obviously she is not familiar with the customs of Japan (a suitable response was “oh toh toh toh”). She mustn’t have seen this video.
